Job Description:

The Criminal Division of the City of Cleveland’s Law Department is seeking an energetic, self-motivated, ethical attorney to serve as a full-time Assistant Prosecuting Attorney.  The City of Cleveland Prosecutor’s Office offers broad exposure to the legal profession in an environment widely renowned for its challenge, excellence, creativity, integrity, decency and public service. The incumbent will prosecute misdemeanor violations of Cleveland Codified Ordinances and the Ohio Revised Code in the Cleveland Municipal Court, Ohio 8th District Court of Appeals and the Ohio Supreme Court.

Responsibilities:

  • Responds to the airport 24/7 for airport emergencies including accidents, incidents, aircraft emergency response, and snow removal activities.
  • Makes immediate decisions necessary to ensure the continued safe operation of Cleveland Hopkins International Airport with intent to eliminate or mitigate operational delays and/or negative impacts to customers, tenants, and airlines.
  • Directs and coordinates response efforts for all emergency response and irregular operation situations.
  • Serves as a main contact point for communications with airport management and executive staff during emergency responses and irregular operation situation.
  • Oversees the update of the Airport Certification Manual, Airport Emergency Plan, Snow and Ice Control Plan and letters of agreement pertaining to the day-to-day operational policies of the airport.  Coordinates the activities of Airport Communications/Call Center.
  • Communicates operational matters to the organizational and airline leadership, FAA Air Traffic Control Tower, and government entities as required.
  • Oversees the development, upkeep and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures for all work functions within Airport Operations and on the Airfield.
  • Formulates and coordinates procedures regarding special events including VIP arrivals/departures, crowd control, and law enforcement requirements.
  • Evaluates and analyzes airport operations procedural, maintenance, and operational issues and recommends and implements solutions.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must possess excellent oral and written communication skills as well as a collaborative, problem solving mindset.
  • Applicants must be currently licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio and be in good standing with the Ohio Supreme Court.
