Position Title: Staff Nurse

Job Description

Bracken and B3 form the Medical Gastroenterology unit at Whipps Cross University Hospital.

Each ward has 17 beds of which 11 are dedicated to Gastro and 6 for Acute Medicine. Both wards have strong dynamic teams that due to a staffing review are now in the position to recruit for Band 5 Staff Nurses.

Responsibilities:

  • You will lead the delivery of national and local targets to ensure they are achieved across a wide range of services.
  • support the delivery of the Division, Site and Trust’s strategic aims and objectives.
  • You will take day-to-day responsibility and accountability for the operational running of the Division and with the Divisional Director and Associate Divisional Director performance manage the Divisional teams.

Requirements:

  • You will need significant experience in both emergency and elective care.
  • We are also looking for someone who has experience and understanding of working in a complex acute operating environment and is committed to ensuring that quality, safety, patient and staff experience are a priority.
  • The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record, leadership skills and expertise with a strong values based approach.
  • highly developed interpersonal skills, the ability to establish strong links with the wider health and social care community by securing their involvement in the effective delivery of services and a strong knowledge of service improvement methodologies and keep these at the forefront of service developments.
