Position Title: Environmental Program Manager

Job Description:

A High School Diploma or GED is required. A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in biology, environmental studies, environmental sciences, environmental planning, public health or a related field is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Under general direction, is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining programs and procedures to comply with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations affecting a division or department within the City of Cleveland
  • including the Clean Air Act, and Superfund Amendments & Reauthorization Act.
  • Performs Project Risk Analyses.
  • Develops and maintains databases to track and manage environmental and safety training and EPA violations.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required.

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or closely related field from a four-year accredited college or university is required.
  • Three years of full time paid progressively responsible experience in the environmental field is required.
  • Two years of full time paid experience in program/project management is also required.
  • A valid State of Ohio Driver’s License is required.
  • HAZWOPER certification within one year of regular appointment may be required by the division.
