Job Description:

Overseeing the recruitment and on-boarding from across a wide range of job professions, this role’s purpose is to lead, develop and manage procedures across teams to ensure the proper, accurate and timely processing of CPS Recruitment campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management of a large Resourcing team to deliver quality outcomes to a wide range of customers from CPS Areas, HQ and Casework Divisions.
  • Develops and implements processes to ensure the smooth and effective running of the Strategic Resourcing Team in line with recruitment standards and commissioners guidelines
  • Co-ordinates continuous improvement through the spread of best practice and listens to customer and stakeholder feedback to bring about changes in recruitment process and design.
  • Mentor and support teams to develop their recruitment knowledge and skills.
  • Regularly communicates with Business Areas in the CPS to understand their recruitment needs and to deliver a quality customer service.

Requirements:

  • Subject to the postholder satisfying the “general qualification” provision within the meaning of section 71 of the Courts and Service Act 1990, the post is designated by the Director of Public Prosecutions as a Crown Prosecutor under the terms of section 1 (3) of the prosecution of Offences Act (1985).
