Job Description:

Would you like to be part of DHL IT Services? Our Solution Support team is looking for a new team member.

You will deliver application support and deployment services for part of a given business area to DHL countries/ functions, in order to ensure the maximum availability of these services to the business and the smooth deployment of new or improved services with minimal disruption to business continuity.

As an Application Support Specialist you will provide on-site, on-call support activities for Customer Service Module of ServiceNow Application and ensure that all agreed targets, SLA’s and Metrics are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating long-term technical strategic plans to improve reliability, quality, and comfort for CRE Facilities.
  • Responsible for leading the CRE team to implement new technologies, identify cost savings opportunities, manage initiatives and identify opportunities related to reliability and energy-related capital projects. Identify and prioritize initiatives based on an evaluation of their life cycle cost.
  • Responsible for managing the effective and efficient utilization of building systems to provide quality and reliable indoor environments. Responsible for establishing & communicating the standards and goals for the development, operation, and maintenance of the DPDHL’s facilities.
  • Provide technical direction and oversight to own and third-party operating staff where present.
  • Includes setting operating standards, reporting requirements, response requirements, staffing and other relationship responsibilities.
  • Provides strategic and technical leadership in the areas of asset management and related standard operating procedures, predictive maintenance procedures, capital planning, customer service & service level agreements, and the development and review of performance criteria for 3rd party service providers.
  • Responsible for engaging with Regional FM teams to identify and implement processes, best practices, technologies, and tools.
  • Provides asset, operation and reliability input to new construction and other capital projects. Work with project management and leasing teams to ensure the implementation of life cycle cost evaluation approaches which explicitly include maintenance, energy, and sustainability considerations.

Requirements:

  • A Professional Engineer with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Confidence to influence a high-caliber team, to drive a business to reach higher performance targets and seize opportunities presented internally.
  • Demonstrable operations experience, having led and managed Global teams with at least 5 years of experience in an engineering role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Engineering background in commercial real estate operations or facilities management with deep expertise in the operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems as well as building automation systems.
  • Minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience of management.
  • Demonstrates good judgment, balanced with informed risk-taking. Highly professional with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Comfortable with matrix management models.
  • Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Sharepoint, PowerBI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
