Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational, continuous improvement, autonomous maintenance and quality skills
  • Be an effective team member and great teammate
  • Accountable for delivery of effective shift handover
  • Deliver and improve performance targets in safety, quality, service, cost and asset care.
  • Maintain top quality and compliance when using business systems
  • At all times, adhere to Diageo health and safety, environmental and food safety standards.
  • Competent to understand the functions and working of machines or plant
  • Maintains a safe and organised workplace environment through adherence to the Safety and 5S MMS practices
  • Operate machine or plant processes following defined standard operating procedures for machine operation and set up time reduction
  • Perform autonomous maintenance tasks including clean, inspect and lubricate and respond to issues
  • Responsible for quality control at line or process and performs quality at source testing
  • Responsible for changeovers including CIPS – Optimisation, provide changeover support across machines and lines
  • Drives performance of the equipment on a line or process area – RCA, SIC, Op led Asset Care, DT recording (tagging), hygiene standards

Requirements:

  • FLT licence and/or NVQ level 2 Food and drink desirable
  • Numerical/verbal reasoning
  • Computer literate including a working knowledge of SAP, Informance
  • 1 years’ experience of shift working in a production team in an FMCG environment
  • An understanding of the machines including planned maintenance and lubrication at basic level
  • Knowledge of process control and operational excellence techniques
  • Knowledge of risk standards (Quality H&S Environment)
