Position Title: Senior Architect

Job Description:

Working in Dundee House and at home, you will be part of the Architects Team providing an Architectural Consultancy service to City Development and other Council Services. You will work full time, 37 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• You will provide a complete range of architectural services to the Council and its service departments and to external public agencies, as directed by the Architectural Services Manager.
• You will represent the Architectural Services Manager on construction projects and maintenance projects emanating from the Division and to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations as appropriate.

Requirements:

• You will have experience in the role of an Architect and the ability to lead a design team and manage external consultants undertaking duties from inception to post completion.
• You will have project management experience along with a sound and extensive knowledge of building construction techniques and detailing, a good working understanding of contract conditions and experience with Health and Safety legislation, including CDM2015.
• You will have the ability to prioritise your workload and be willing to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• You will be computer literate and have an up to date knowledge of technical standards in architectural design and construction.
