Position Title: HR Policy Specialist

Job Description

The HR Policy Specialist provides strategic HR policy management (across all areas of the business) to ensure that HR policies are legally compliant and aligned to our business & HR strategy. You will lead the day-to-day management of policy, as well as being responsible for developing the policy strategy with the Head of Policy & Retail Union Relationships. The role also includes implementing and communicating our policies in line with our colleague values making sure these are easy to understand, inclusive and accessible for the colleagues to whom they apply.

Requirements:

  • Ability to manage conflicting prioritises
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to evidence strong commercial decision making
  • Experience of managing multiple policies, in a changing environment and working with Trade Unions is advantageous
  • Ability to work well under pressure, handling changing and challenging situations with the capability to prioritise against evolving timescales and requirements with confidence, drive, and enthusiasm
  • Emotional intelligence and excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to build strong and effective business relationships across divisions and externally
  • Excellent impact and influencing skills, ability to influence a broad range of stakeholders to Director level
  • A proven track record of delivering against objectives with a strong understanding of the business beyond policy
  • Display resilience, confidence, and expertise with senior stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of people policies with strong ER, IR and employment law understanding
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail, possessing the ability to identify opportunities and bring to life a strategy
