Position Title: Creative Community Engagement Officer

Job Description:

Culture Liverpool are looking for a Creative Community Engagement Project Officer for a fixed term period of 12 months with a passion and enthusiasm for working in creative community engagement on place-making regeneration and Covid recovery schemes.

Responsibilities:

  • The post is in response to Liverpool City Council’s ‘Next Generation Neighbourhoods’ pledge.
  • The Pledge is part of the city’s recovery plan, drawing out the key principles that need to be accelerated to ensure minimum impact of the pandemic on the city’s residents and communities.
  • The Creative Community Engagement Project Officer post will ensure the arts and creativity play a vital role in the city’s recovery, enabling our communities to have the confidence to step out of their front doors and into their neighbourhood and City as it reopens, taking pride and ownership of their local areas, whilst addressing the needs of communities and their health and wellbeing.
  • The main area of responsibility will be to support the Arts & Participation Manager in targeted creative engagement to improve community cohesion, civic engagement and pride in local place-making.

Requirements:

  • We are looking for someone who has a proven track record of developing and managing successful creative engagement projects within communities alongside arts organisations and other stakeholders.If so this is the role for you!!!
  • We are looking for someone who can ensure that those communities’ stories and those of the local area are captured, told, interpreted and incorporated into public realm improvements, creative commissions and other creative outputs via creative engagement.
