Position Title: Transport Clerk

Job Description:

Within this role, you will support and contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the transport operation and resolution of customer service queries

Responsibilities:

  • De-brief all HGV/LGV Drivers either face to face or over the phone
  • Report any issues or defects, speaking with any internal or external customers that may be affected
  • Provide and maintain efficient and effective administrative support for the transport and customer service department
  • Ensure outstanding customer service for all inbound and outbound calls and making sure we resolve these quickly and efficiently.
  • Ensure all activities are undertaken in accordance with current legislation, polices, procedures and best practices.

Requirements:

  • You will have proven transport or logistical experience, ideally within a similar role.
  • You will possess excellent administrative and organisational skills with a strong customer service focus.
  • It goes without saying that you will be a natural communicator, able to build relationships internally and externally and be IT Literate, able to use and learn news systems.
