Position Title: Product Analyst

Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a Product Analyst to join our IT & Digital Team. You will support the Product Management team in defining technology and digital solutions to meetthe needs of the Gas Transmission business and support the transition to the energy system of the future. You will work collaboratively with business stakeholders, architecture, product owners and agile delivery teams to support the development of product visions, roadmaps and lean business cases toenable business outcomes. You will effectively balance derived value against cost and assist in the development of an investment plan and backlog prioritisation; Providing technical, financial and commercial input as required. You will build strong relationships with product owners across the business and IT, helping to gaininsight into business transformation needs, whilst contributing to the IT & Digital strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply technology thought leadership, supported by Agile and Digitalisation principles, in everything
  • you do.
  • Analyse complex business and IT environments to identify innovative, appropriate and cost-effective
  • solutions.
  • Build, maintain and enhance working relationships with IT, Vendors and Business SMEs.
  • Partner with Gas Transmission in the development of strategic business and digitalisation plans for
  • optimal use of technology.
  • Translate the businesses strategic roadmaps to robust IT investment plans and prioritise the backlog
  • to meet current and future business goals and objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with Product Owners & Managers, Solution & Release Train Engineers,
  • Enterprise Architecture and Digital Teams to help define and mobilise IT and Digital initiatives.
  • Support the Product Managers in working with business to design, execute and evaluate Product
  • Roadmaps and to improve the user journeys.
  • Participate on project boards, steering and governance groups as required in a consultancy role.

Requirements:

  • You will have knowledge of Agile ways of working (Kanban, Scrum, SAFe, etc.), a good understanding
  • of emerging digital technologies & best practices, and you actively apply product and design thinking
  • to enable successful business outcomes.
  • You will perform well in sometimes abstract and nebulous situations, finding clarity and deliverable
  • options with your business area and the wider organisation in mind.
  • You will have experience of working with technology investment plans and balancing multiple
  • priorities. You will have a broad range of consulting and analytical techniques to understand and
  • gain value from complex business and IT environments.
  • You’ll have a strong commercial focus, delivering IT outcomes which meet the business needs and
  • are innovative and cost effective. You build successful working relationships across all levels of the
  • business and IT teams, providing a trusted and challenging approach using influence where
  • appropriate in the face of conflicting interests.
