Position Title: Senior iOS Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a talented and passionate Senior iOS Engineer to join our team based in London Bridge, but working remotely. You’ll specifically work on our front-end developing new features and optimising existing ones, to help deliver the news to our readers every day.

Responsibilities:

  • As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be a key component of a team delivering quality software.
  • You’ll interact with product owners and stakeholders, contribute to the technical conversations and ensure that what we build is best in class and fit for purpose.
  • You’ll report to a Principal Engineer and will help him/her deliver on the technical strategy and tactical implementation.
  • You’ll mentor other engineers to bring them up to your standard.
  • you’ll be involved with the technical direction as well as day to day coding standards and best practices.
  • You’ll be a mentor to your peers and team members, a source of technical expertise and will participate in strategic conversations with the rest of engineering and the business.
  • You’ll feel comfortable presenting to internal teams.

Requirements:

  • Solid commercial experience using Swift and Objective-C
  • iOS design patterns, including MVC, MVVM and VIPER
  • SOLID design principles
  • Dependency management with Cocoapods
  • Unit testing with XCTest
  • UI automation testing with XCUITest
  • Continuous Integration – previous experience with CircleCI would be a bonus
  • Build automation with Fastlane
  • Some experience working with ReactNative would be an advantage
