Position Title:Data Quality Advisor

Job Description:

The quality of Rightmove listings is second to none, we invest considerably in ensuring they are of the highest quality in the marketplace and remain a trusted source of information. As a member of Rightmove’s Data Quality team you will play an important role in ensuring property listings advertised on the website to millions are accurate, fair and never misleading. Specifically, your role will focus on investigating potentially unfair or misleading listings and contacting our customers through value-add conversations to inform them of alternatives ways of getting the most from their Rightmove membership.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily management and qualification of new cases requiring investigation. You’ll ensure you achieve your own personal target of daily cases completed.
  • Investigating a mix of cases, working oldest to newest.
  • Investigating cases using multiple systems to check the history of the complaint and the agent to which it relates. You’ll be working with sometimes large datasets, that require close attention to detail.
  • Reaching an informed, evidence lead, decision based on your investigation.
  • Completing the correction of, or removal of, property adverts which have been found to be inaccurate.
  • Communicating your decision in writing and via the telephone. You’ll aim to make sure these conversations are productive, explaining in full how you have reached your decision, and supporting the agent to prevent the same mistake happening again.
  • Completing follow-up, educational or investigative calls where we have identified particular concerns in regards to a case. You will be the point of call for sometimes difficult conversations, seeking to resolve complaints in a prompt, yet sympathetic manner.

Requirements:

  • Takes responsibility for their own workload, and for that of the team. You should be able to work under your own initiative and be self-motivating, determined to ensure you always achieve your caseload targets.
  • Has great attention to detail. You’ll be investigating multiple datasets, which you will need to check thoroughly. You’ll have an eye for detail, and enjoy working with and seeking out relevant information and data.
  • Is a great communicator. Data Quality is an emotive subject, and you will sometimes have to make challenging telephone calls. You’ll appreciate that we must handle all queries sensitively, whilst working towards a resolution, and not shy away from a challenge.
  • Has experience in a role that utilizes persuasion skills, as well as having the ability to turn potentially challenging conversations into value added conversations.
  • Has great written communication. You’ll be able to follow up on sometimes complex telephone conversations, with accurate yet empathetic emails.
  • Has great knowledge of our Technical Guidelines, and will show correct judgement when determining which queries should be actioned by the Data Quality Advisor team.
