Job Description:

The City of Aiken Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Department is accepting applications for a regular part-time Facilities Assistant in the Athletics Division.

Responsibilities:

  • Secures and reserves facilities
  • Registers participants
  • Handles deposits and financial transactions
  • Operates Department registration software
  • Types correspondence, memoranda, reports, and other documents pertinent to the Department
  • Maintains inventory of supplies
  • Processes invoices
  • Performs basic set-up and break down of rooms as needed

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must obtain First Aid/CPR/AED and Defensive Driving certifications within six months of employment
  • Two years of clerical experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication with staff, customers, and vendors
  • Task oriented and organized
  • Able to manage work efficiently and proactively
  • Type 40 WPM
  • Excellent customer service skills
