Position Title:ARPA Manager

Job Description:

The City Manager’s Office (CMO) is a division in the Central Services department. The division supports the Mayor, Council, City Manager, boards, commissions, and other departments. Working as a team, the CMO provides innovative, collaborative, and strategic support to various projects and ongoing initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and supports development of the City’s management plan of ARPA funding; works closely with members of the ARPA Policy Team and Operations Team(s).
  • Lead ARPA funded program, project, and service initiatives as a part of the City’s relief efforts under the direction of the City Executive Team, City Council, and other key stakeholders.
  • Attends regular meetings with the ARPA Policy Team and Operations Team(s).
  • Creates monitoring system to track impact of fund usage.
  • Managing timelines and deliverables for projects sponsored with ARPA funds.
  • Assist project staff with compliance for sub-awards and subcontracts, including Council resolutions/ordinances, written sub-agreements, sub monitoring, technical assistance.

  • Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills with an ability to anticipate problems and prioritize solutions on a deadline.
  • Principles and practices of program and project management.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and matters in a discreet and professional manner.
  • Handle various and conflicting work assignments.
  • Analyze, interpret, and report research findings.
  • Proficiency with a variety of computer programs including Workday, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
