Position Title: Platform Engineer

Job Description:
The role is a key to improving how ASOS deliver software in a secure, efficient & cost-effective manner will require you to be an integral part of the development teams that you are working with. You should always be looking to improve your area, never settling for the status quo.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure teams can easily self-serve the following:
- Azure services
- CI/CD pipelines
- Coaching and mentoring engineering teams on subjects such as DevOps or use of Azure services
- Working hands on with teams when required to support software delivery
- Prototyping of new technologies and tools to improve how ASOS delivers software
- Analyse CI/CD tooling and Azure resources and propose ways to further improve e.g. security or costs
- Ensuring CI/CD governance and best practice is adhered to
- Contribute to the engineering and DevOps communities at ASOS to drive forward better ways of working and efficient use of existing services
- Operating shared infrastructure that supports ASOS’s systems
Requirements:
- Microsoft Azure to host our service infrastructure across multiple regions
- Azure DevOps to manage our Git repositories, work items and CI/CD pipelines
- SRE practices to improve how we operate services
- Scrum / Kanban as our frameworks to deliver our products
- Infrastructure as code tools to ensure our infrastructure is defined in a declarative manner
