Position Title: Python Engineer

Job Description:

As a software engineer, you’ll join one of our platform teams and play a key role in contributing to Bulb’s wider goals and helping our members (by the way, we refer to our customers as members). You could be developing new foundational API services that will be used by members internationally; working with large complex datasets sourced from smart meters or electric vehicles; making tools available to members on their Bulb Account pages, to help them understand their energy usage, be greener and save money.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and shape the future of our International Platform using our modern tech stack
  • Build resilient, observable and secure services for Bulb’s International Platform as we continue to scale up these rapidly growing businesses
  • Take ownership of projects including planning, delivery, and technical decisions. You’ll work closely with your team throughout the project, as you work together to deliver and improve it as you go
  • Gather requirements and interact with designers, operations, energy specialists
  • Use data to guide product and engineering decisions to focus on what matters mostLearn about new technologies, the energy industry and how we’re going to lower CO2 emissions for everyone
