Position Title: Internet Trainer

Job Description:

The Internet Trainer teaches Internet Clerks all procedures and functions of the Internet department, which matches orders to tickets and pack orders. The principal business outcome of this role is to increase the capability of Internet associates to ship products accurately and safely. This position works with general supervision, interacting with a supervisor several times a week, perhaps daily, to receive guidance and feedback. Many non-routine activities will require a supervisor’s advance approval.

Responsibilities:

  • Train new Internet Clerk associates concerning the operational procedures of the Internet department.
  • Pack internet orders and appropriately arrange and cushion products to prevent damage during shipment.
  • Determine correct box size for product selection in order to ensure shipping efficiencies.
  • Pick up and discard paper, packing/wrapping materials, empty cartons, and all trash/debris throughout work shift.
  • Identify process improvements, when appropriate, and communicate to department leaders.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old and provide state-required proof of age documents
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • At least one year of work experience required; work experience training others preferred
  • At least one year of experience as a GameStop Internet Clerk required (for internal candidates only)
  • Ability to lift and/or move boxes, totes and other objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, stoop, climb on ladders, and drag wooden pallets weighing up to 60 pounds on an infrequent, as needed basis
  • Ability to stand, bend and lift for up to 8 hours daily
  • Communicate effectively with others of varying responsibility using written and spoken English — bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
  • Ability to participate in cross-functional training designed to support the achievement of overall DC and Refurb objectives
  • Ability to work in other areas as needed within the general scope of this role
  • Working knowledge of how adult learners acquire, apply and retain vocational knowledge in a diverse environment; ability to modify training approaches as needed to maximize learning for diverse learners.
  • Ability to understand and comply with all GameStop policies and procedures, including but not limited to, those related to attendance, safety, conflict of interest, confidentiality, honesty and ethical conduct
