Job Description:

As a Communications and Engagement Graduate, you’ll complete an 18-month programme which is designed to develop your skillset in order to become one of our future stars.

Responsibilities: 

  • Supporting the development and promotion of our Employee Value Proposition and colleague engagement programmes
  • Copywriting and content production – taking a journalistic approach to capture great colleague stories through relationships and ongoing listening
  • Organising and promoting employee engagement and communication events ensuring well executed/effective and well attended forums and networks
  • Confident understanding of traditional and social media channels and how to use them to maximise our reach and impact – tapping into established colleague influencers
  • Maintain and organise the UK Bus internal communication plan and calendar to ensure appropriate scheduling and content
  • Co-ordinate and create the timing and messaging of key stories/projects/interventions to support delivery of our business plans
  • Build a network of key stakeholders to ensure we capture stories from across the business and shine a light on the great work our people do

Reqirements:

  • A flair and passion for digital design
  • Constantly question the norm and provide new ideas
  • The flexibility to be nationally / internationally mobile – a lot of our roles involve travel as we operate all over the UK!
  • A minimum of a 2:1 degree in a relevant discipline (journalism, media studies etc!)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage at all levels internally and externally within a diverse multi-cultural environment.
