Position Title: Delivery Driver

Job Description:
The Delivery Driver represents the Grand Central Bakery brand by delivering artisan bakery bread to our customers (restaurants, grocery stores) and neighborhood cafes safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate for this position will be self-motivated and independent. They will have high performance standards, strong customer orientation and team mentality, and composure under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Keeps delivery vehicles and delivery area clean, organized, and ready for the next shift
- Ability to be flexible with schedule to meet delivery operation needs, confidently taking ownership of 1 or more routes to deliver bread within prescribed time parameters
- Uses problem solving skills to address customer complaints, accurately and carefully pack
- products, demonstrate accuracy with invoices and money handling
- Inspects delivery vehicle prior to and after each shift
- Delivers excellent customer service – friendly, helpful, and courteous at all times
- Is able to differentiate between and describe products
Maintains quality control standards - Operates vehicle in a safe and courteous manner while obeying all traffic laws
Reqirements:
- Drivers work in a building shared with production facilities.
- They are constantly exposed to wheat flour dust and other grain dusts (rye, corn, oat).
- The driver procedures require a high level of repetitive motion involving hands, wrists, arms and back.
- This position may be required to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. during their normal duties.
