Position Title:Grants Manager

Job Description:
The purpose of this position is to apply for and research grants, process financial reports to state and federal grant agencies and complete reconciliation for grant funds.
Responsibilities:
- Attends meetings, webinars, workshops, and legislative sessions, network, and research publications on a regular basis to remain current on changes, best practices, and legal settlements.
- Prepares contractual agreements between the City and assigned sub-recipients.
- Maintains appropriate records and documentation in accordance with grant regulations. Records and delivers information to the Supervisor or Designee.
- Evaluates applications submitted for funding and ensures the City has all necessary requirements from sub-recipients.
- Reviews and approves agencies’ requests for reimbursement of grant funds.
- Coordinates and prepares for all on-site audits. Participates and conducts audits as required by Department guidelines; prepares quarterly year-end report requirements for annual audit.
- Coordinates the processing of Local, Federal and State grants with Department’s staff, the grantor and other agencies; establishes and maintains a resource library of completed grants as required by Federal and State guidelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Communication, English, Marketing, or other closely related field;
- Within the past ten (10) years, must have three (3) years of experience that includes public grant funds administration/coordination, grant review, writing grant proposals and grant research;

Must satisfactorily demonstrate to hiring committee that proficient communications, decision-making, planning, and presentation skills are evident and that management and organizational culture philosophies are aligned with those desired by the City Manager; and
