Position Title: Senior UI Design Lead

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • As a part of our Customer Brand Team, you will help to shape and develop our brand identity across all digital channels, and champion the consistent application of our brand across the business
  • Working with the brand, teams to turn brand identity, campaign assets and creative into content within our digital products.
  • Work with the Customer Product Owner and UX/User researcher to iterate and expand on wireframes, user flows flows, low fidelity mock-ups, interactive prototypes and design specifications.
  • Create hi-fidelity UI work for the development team to help deliver new feature enhancements.
  • Develop ad-hoc visuals and content in relation to our digital products for internal and external use.
  • Lead our User-Centred Design practices at Greggs and championing design thinking to help educate and communicate to the wider team as to why design is important.
  • Collaborate with our content lead and wider brand team and support agencies to ensure that all work is aligned, delighting our customers and delivering to Greggs overall commercial objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of delivering best-in-class visual designs for mobile app, websites and CRM activity.
  • Experience of working in a similar role within a consumer-facing digital product team, ideally within a major retailer or consumer facing FMCG business.
  • Highly skilled in the use of Figma as well as various industry standard software tools, such as Adobe CC, InVision, Miro, Sketch etc.
  • Experience in translating brand identity into a coherent design system.
  • Highly commercially savvy, and able to turn concepts into engaging visual content.
  • Comfortable working with a variety of agency partners and perspectives to arrive at the best solution for end-users.
  • Has a detailed knowledge of User-Centred Design practices
  • Has a portfolio demonstrating outstanding visual flair and design.
  • Is adept at using qualitative and quantitative data and insight to inform design thinking.
  • Has a solid understanding the last designs tools and online marketing practices.
  • Leads with accessibility best practice in mind at all time.
  • Has a keen eye for detail – you’re a bit of a pixel perfectionist.
  • Has experience designing for desktop, tablet and mobile.
  • Enjoys bringing the wider team along with them and has experience communicating design decisions to the wider team and stakeholders.
  • Has experience working in an agile environment.
  • Experience in front-end development using the latest technologies.
