Position Title: Business Analyst

Job Description:

We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join the team to provide a variety of business analysis services to support the delivery a programme of work to implement hybrid working. The post holder will need to work as both an effective programme team member and independently on smaller scale initiatives to ensure successful delivery, and build and maintain effective working relationships with business partners and suppliers.

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the ongoing development of our Public Value strategy, incorporating the government’s revised planning and performance framework and developing our approach to projects and workshops which utilise the Public Value Framework (PVF) as a diagnostic tool.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across government to apply the PVF in a range of ways. This may include using the PVF to inform policy design, to take stock of a policy or programme, to build a whole system view and/or to diagnose a delivery issue.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the PVF methodology by logging insights and ideas which emerge in the course of your branch’s work, being aware of the latest thinking in policy development and evaluation, and by building relationships with a diverse network.
  • Line management of one Range D Policy Adviser and one Range C Policy Apprentice, in a way that prioritises their personal development and wellbeing.
  • You will maintain oversight of the team’s brief and external communications products.
  • There may also be opportunities for matrix management across the team on specific pieces of work.
