Position Title: Sanctions Operation Officer

Job Description:

We’re looking for a candidates who are good at research . the one who analyse what is happening in the world economy, and we oversee spending controls on international development spending. Although international travel is an important part of some roles, it is not required for every role in the group and will be specified if required.
Responsibilities:

  • Ability to handle a full workload and conflicting priorities to deliver to deadlines. (Delivering at Pace)
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to a wide variety of internal and external partners (Communicating and Influencing)
  • Experience of managing large quantities of data with a keen eye for detail. (Experience)

Requirements:

  • To handle OFSI’s records of frozen assets, which requires complex analysis and inputting of data. This also includes commissioning and reviewing annual returns from financial institutions, other organisations and designated persons. To work with other branches within OFSI to ensure the treatment of annual returns assists compliance with financial sanctions.
  • You will be able to develop and maintain a broad range of skills, knowledge and expertise across core team functions via the bespoke OFSI Range C Development Programme, with the opportunity to work on projects across the team on stretching and exciting projects!
  • To prepare and respond to routine parliamentary questions, Freedom of Information Act requests and ministerial correspondence ensuring that they are completed in a timely manner.
  • Work to improve the knowledge management capacities of OFSI, ensuring that information is stored securely and accessibly, working closely with colleagues from Information Workplace Service. We also ensure that OFSI produce accurate reporting information for the senior management teams, as well as external partners when needed.
