Job Description:

This is an outstanding opportunity for an innovative and hands-on public health consultant to step into an NHS provider setting and show how working in a downstream setting can achieve upstream goals.

Responsibilities:

• Work broadly and agilely to identify and respond to opportunities to embed health improvement or healthcare service quality improvements into existing services
• Increase the trust’s contribution to reducing health inequalities or improving the wider determinants of health
• Develop the use of the population health management platform, working with clinical audiences to create compelling information products which facilitate positive change in the way health services are structured or delivered
• Provide public health advice and specialist expertise as required to help the trust discharge its statutory and regulatory duties, including in health protection and emergency planning
• Participate in teaching, training and research activities, including supervision for public health registrars and other trainees where appropriate

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate should be motivated and forward thinking with a ‘can do’ attitude.
• They should be an experienced RGN with extensive Endoscopy knowledge.
• The successful applicant will be required to work closely with our other Endoscopy sisters, leading by example and be a role model for the Endoscopy team, ensuring high quality care.
• Candidates should have a sound knowledge of JAG and be able to demonstrate excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
