Position Title:Software Developer

Job Description:
We’re looking for developers to work with us to create outcomes from this investment, people who want to make a difference to the world we live in, who want to save lives and livelihoods across the world, not just in the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Proven ability to design, code, test and document programs or scripts of medium to high complexity, using the right standards and tools.
- Proven experience of testing best practice, for example Test Driven Development;
- Proven experience of collaborating with others to deliver and support production services;
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical subjects to architects, developers and other less technical Met Office colleagues and collaborators.
- Have an appreciation of information security, designing solutions and services with security controls embedded.
Requirements:
- Experience working with geospatial data, standards and systems;
- Experience working with agile methodologies;
- Experience of automating software deployments using Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment.
