About the job

The postholder will support delivery of DITG output in the following ways:

Be responsible for the application of correct storage and issue practises within the DAS warehouses to ensure the accounts are accurate and subsequent preparation of documentation is available for future managerial audit.

Ensure that stock is held at suitable levels for use by the Accommodation Cell.

Ensure that the DAS Accountant is advised on the correct AinU for incoming stores.

Cleanliness, orderly layout and security of any DAS held within the warehouse storage areas, ensuring the correct and safe application of all storage and handling practices in accordance with the Health and Safety At Work Act 1974,

Main Objectives

  • The postholder will support delivery of DITG output in the following ways:
  • Be responsible for the application of correct storage and issue practises within the DAS warehouses to ensure the accounts are accurate and subsequent preparation of documentation is available for future managerial audit.
  • Ensure that stock is held at suitable levels for use by the Accommodation Cell.
  • Ensure that the DAS Accountant is advised on the correct AinU for incoming stores.
  • Cleanliness, orderly layout and security of any DAS held within the warehouse storage areas, ensuring the correct and safe application of all storage and handling practices in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1992, Materiel Regulations and other associated regulations and instructions.
  • Assist the DAS Clerk in carrying out checks of all warehoused DAS AinUs.
  • Provide the receipt and issue of bedding between the organisation and the laundry service provider.
  • If capacity allows, and as directed by Line Manager, provide support to the Accommodation Cell in their duties by handing over accommodation.
