Position Title: Automation Engineering Architect

Job Description:

You will oversee the work of product teams to deliver automation solutions for all the products and most complex or multiple programs, being accountable for the quality of automation development outputs and consistently strives to go above and beyond. You will be someone who enjoys taking accountability for the design, development, delivery and maintenance of a suite of solutions and drives the development of relevant standards.You will be a technical, hands-on facilitator in the Quality Engineering function and is a key strategic role within our Solution Engineering platform team. Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement our test automation strategy including roadmap, tools, frameworks & approaches across Products/Platforms
  • Oversee technological execution of the recommended automation solution roadmap across product/platform teams
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to determine the scope and needs of automation testing
  • Standardize and optimize current processes to enable them for process automation, digital initiatives, system deployments, new products etc
  • Develop a well-defined strategy that has broad agreement and is integrated with digital transformation efforts
  • Have a focus on improving the maintainability, increase automated test coverage and decrease test execution times
  • Drive optimizations in various test processes to ensure product quality and keeping cost at a minimum
  • Strong understanding of flaky tests and the impacts of eventual consistency
  • Analyse the cost and benefits of QE initiatives that are aligned to business strategies
  • Define and publish key performance metrics for the automated testing
  • Be research savvy and a subject matter expert of current industry-wide quality & test processes, tools and technologies
  • Capable of mentoring and communicating a coherent vision for quality best practices, coding standards, test automation strategy and tool usage
  • Able to perform analyses to solve complex problems and motivate peers to produce creative products and services

Requirements:

  • Vast experience in Automation Engineering and Architect roles building platforms and services using private/public cloud and On-Perm platforms
  • A multitude of experience with automation testing tools both opensource & proprietary such as Selenium, Appium, Cucumber/Gherkin, Rest Assured or equivalent web-service automation tool, Tosca, Specflow and APM, infrastructure monitoring tools like Dynatrace, SumoLogic, NewRelic, Prometheus and AppDynamics
  • Hands on experience with high-traffic, large-scale distributed systems, stream-processing platforms, client-server architectures, cloud DevOps
  • Good working knowledge of different coding languages and DSLs (at least 2 or more) – C#, .Net Core, Java, JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, Bash, and SQL
  • Practical experience with the following Mobile app (iOS), Web technology stack (HTTP, REST, HTML, JavaScript, CSS etc), COTS Products/Platforms (SalesForce, SAP, MuleSoft, Oracle Fusion/MSM, CDSA, Ellipse, Maximo), O365, Data Lake, PowerBI, Analytics & insights and Azure services
  • Multi-system Integration using industry standards such as REST, API, JSON, SOAP, etc
  • Extensive relevant industry experience required, demonstrating working knowledge of relevant software infrastructure products/platforms
  • Experience performing DevOps engineering on a platform/product
  • Experience with resilient and highly available mission critical technology components, multi-tier service design and operations
  • Experience delivering products/Platforms and services using the Agile methodology
