Job Description:

The Northampton General Hospital is recruiting a locum Consultant Paediatrician. You are encouraged to develop your own special interest to complement the department. This is a replacement post following retirement of the current post holder.

Responsibilities:

• The post-holder will join the Consultant of the Week rota for General Paediatrics, and the Paediatric Admissions Unit rota.
• They will also join a 1 in 8 on-call rota, on a pro-rata basis.
• There is no input to the neonatology service as part of this post.
• If the post-holder is not on the Consultant of the week rota, they will run out-patient clinics which include both general paediatric and paediatric and special interest clinics

Requirements:

• You must have appropriate UK professional registration..
• A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• To be reliable as you will be an important part of a small team. Your colleagues and customers will depend upon to do your best on each shift and not let the team down.
• A bit of flexibility when it comes to your shifts. When other members of your team are off enjoying their holidays, we may need you to work slightly different hours to cover for them. Rota’s are planned three weeks in advance and your commitments outside
