Position Title: Force Vetting Manager

Job Description:

A vacancy will soon arise within Professional Standards for a Force Vetting Manager based at Dalmarnock, Glasgow.

Responsibilities:

  • Within this role you will develop, implement and maintain the Force’s Vetting Policy.
  • Ensure vetting procedures meet the current and future requirements of the Force in accordance with the principles of the Data Protection, Human Rights, Race Relations Acts, Freedom of Information and other relevant legislation, ensuring high levels of integrity and security within Police Scotland.
  • You will have responsibility for the co-ordination and tactical direction of vetting processes within the Vetting Team.
  • You will have responsibility for the tactical oversight of vetting demands projected demand and control of vetting processes within the Vetting Team.

Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will hold a Degree in business type discipline.
  • OR where no formal qualifications exist, proven experience at an equivalent level.
  • You will have management experience. And an ability to write, review and apply policy into a practical environment.
