Position Title: System Manager

Job Description:

An opportunity has arisen to join our IS team as its System Manager. In this role, you will manage IS BI and Data Integration systems, co-ordinate and implement IT projects for the business, and become the resident IT expert and engagement point for all Data Integration services operations at Eurostar.

Responsibilities: 

  • Be the Subject Matter Expert for the BI platform and Data Integration tools related to sales and Customer data .
  • Interact with other IS teams and with the Customer Systems team, to ensure Eurostar Customer Systems are well integrated with each-other, allow decisions to be data-driven, and provide value for Eurostar business teams and Eurostar customers.
  • Manage a team of data engineers to maintain existing solutions, implement small changes, or bigger projects.
  • Collaborate with the business teams to build business cases and write feasibility studies, for new/potential projects affecting the services we provide to customers.
  • Be responsible for smooth BI and Data Integration operations at Eurostar, through monitoring of SLA, Systems and reports
  • Contribute to the digitalization of processes & activities affecting customers and be the champion of Data Integration and Data Systems within the Customer Systems team.
  • Document functional and business rules being applied across our Sales and Customer data.
  • Manage 3rd party vendors and internal resources (Boomi Senior developers, Business Analysts) to deliver new changes in the Customer Systems, by providing requirements, reviewing and agreeing efforts assessment, coordinating development and testing and following the delivery of changes in Production.
  • Contribute to the constant improvement of Data pipelines and BI solutions for revenue and customer reporting, by proposing and delivering new solutions to fulfil Eurostar business needs and by ensuring reporting and Data integration capabilities stay up to date.
  • Manage open and effective relationship with internal stakeholders (Business optimization team, Marketing team, Sales team., contact centre, …) in order to understand, document and support their needs, and ensure the services are running and are evolving as expected for the business.
  • Manage relationship with 3rd party vendors, to ensure the Data Integration systems (especially Boomi) are well maintained and are running as expected by the business, and monitor our contractual agreements are followed accordingly.
  • Work closely with the business teams to prioritize changes accordingly, and create & manage a portfolio of projects.

Reqirements:

  • Ability to analyze technical problems, propose solutions and write documentation thoroughly and clearly.
  • Very good data analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong ability to understand the data aspects of business problems
  • An interest in working with people from various backgrounds in a multicultural environment.
  • Good people engagement skills.
  • Good experience in Project Management (Agile and/or Waterfall)
  • Keen to be part of a multi-disciplinary team (functional / business / technical), with people from
  • various backgrounds, in a multicultural environment
