Job Description:

Looking for a driven and dynamic individual to join a passionate and forward-thinking team as a Business and Policy Manager. This is a key role, to provide an exceptional level of support to the senior political leadership of Worcestershire County Council and provide policy guidance on a broad range of subjects.Following a review of the Executive Support Service we are now looking to appoint to the following newly created post:Policy and Business Manager – Corporate and Member’s.

Responsibilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills are therefore crucial as is a strong understanding of the interplay between service areas in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • If you have a broad skillset, the ability to co-ordinate a wide array of business, support decision making, lead on transformation projects and support policy development for senior officers and members we would like to hear from.
  • You’ll work closely with the political leadership of the Council to support policy development and ensure delivery against the Corporate Plan.
  • This role will carry out research into local, regional, national and international issues as required, and ensure the relevant Cabinet Member is made aware of any relevant matters.
