Position Title: Performance Marketing Manager

Job Description:

As Performance Marketing Manager, you will report to the Head of Performance Marketing and play a key role in marketing execution and performance across all channels and markets. Supported by the Performance Marketing team, you will be responsible for overseeing execution of our Trade marketing calendar across channels, planning and reporting to performance objectives, and the strategic management of Paid Search and Display. Candidates will have a good knowledge of how digital marketing interacts across channels and vendors, being comfortable with autonomy in a fast-paced, complex and hard-working environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with internal and external channel specialists in planning and maintaining large media budgets meet rapidly scaling targets and maximise returns at the sum of all channels.
  • Support the Head of Performance Marketing with cross-departmental project management across a variety of disciplines, working closely with other members of the Performance Marketing team to prioritise and deliver against deadlines.
  • Oversee media execution for the MATCHESFASHION Trade calendar, collaborating with the Performance Marketing team to define where to support promos, and ensuring promo messaging is live as per the channels and timelines signed off by the Trade team.
  • Assume strategic management of Paid Search and Display, supporting the Marketing Executive to challenge our partners, and improve operations and performance.
  • Nurture talent within the Performance Marketing team, upskilling a Marketing Executive to take on more of the day-to-day management of Paid Search and Display execution.
  • Work closely with Affiliates and Organic Search SMEs to align messaging and performance strategies across all digital marketing channels.
  • Oversee and further streamline reporting processes, working closely with tech on automation, and the Performance Marketing team to deliver quality insights back to the business each week.
  • Proactively challenge existing thinking and stimulate change, driving standards by shaping business processes and systems through automation.
  • Strategy development and implementation of marketing efforts to improve business performance.

Requirements:

  • General understanding of how each channel operates, when to leverage each and how they affect each other as part of a wider marketing ecosystem. Executional experience in either Paid Search or Display/Media Planning.
  • Data driven approach to marketing with excellent analytical skills, strong Excel user, and solid understanding of data within the digital media realm.
  • Experience using GA360 for marketing insights. Understanding of ad serving via CM360 a plus.
  • Excellent project management, ensuring tasks are delivered to deadline despite limited time or resources.
  • Builds strong collaborative internal and external relationships; knows how to get the best from people and adept at managing up as well as down.
  • Flexible in adapting work to fast-changing priorities.
  • Intimate knowledge of global Paid Search platforms; account structure and setup for multi-brand retail and how to get the most out of bid strategies/automation, audience and shopping via SA360.
  • Experienced media planner with understanding of various tools available, how to leverage external and 1P data for cross-channel activation, the role of technology in delivering personalisation at scale.
  • Minimum 6 years’ paid marketing experience, including at a retail Brand or Digital-led Agency.
  • 3+ experience in either Paid Search or Display/Media Planning, with excellent knowledge of cutting edge-developments within that channel.
  • Experience as part of a multi-channel marketing team towards shared objectives, including leading the execution of one or more channels, with a solid understanding of what ‘good ‘looks like.
  • Understanding of budget management and forecasting within at least one channel; multi-channel advantageous.
  • Using a rapid test-and-learn mentality, designing and implementing tests, maintaining best practice.
  • Comfortable with a range of marketing technologies for online retailers and ecom platforms. Experience with Luxury brands advantageous, but not essential.
