Job Description:

The Boulder County Community Support Division is currently looking to expand our team by adding two Eligibility Technician A’s.
We’re looking for an energetic, positive individual who is capable of multi-tasking and enjoys working with the public. The Eligibility Technician A will be responsible for managing several different tasks that help support residents in securing public benefits for their household. The ideal candidate is resourceful, a good problem solver, and organized. Assuring a steady completion of the work in a timely manner is key to success in this position.

Responsibilities:

  •  Optimizes work processes: Identifies and creates the processes necessary to get the work done; separates and combines activities into efficient workflows; designs processes and procedures that allow managing from a distance; seeks ways to continuously improve processes, from small tweaks to complete engineering; is innovative and creative
  • Action Oriented: Readily takes action on challenges, without unnecessary planning; identifies and seizes new opportunities; displays a can-do attitude in good and bad times; steps up to handle tough issues; shows a tremendous amount of initiative in tough situations; adaptable and flexible

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of public assistance programs and other community agencies that provide assistance to clients
  • Skill in communicating verbally and in writing
  • Skill in interviewing
  • Ability to work effectively with other employees, difficult clients, and the public
