Position Title: IT Senior Analyst

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our existing Business Solutions Team in providing advice and solutions on technical, functional and process related matters associated with Buying, Advertising and Marketing. At our brand new Lidl House Head Office, you will have a modern and bright working space to collaborate with the wider IT department with lots of room to grow and progress within the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Provision of 2nd and 3rd level support and incident management using ServiceNow
  • Active engagement and consultation with internal departments (Purchasing, HR) to ensure that new and existing systems meet business requirements
  • Supporting the team and wider IT department with project implementation
  • Installation and maintenance of Advertising templates within our Store Ticketing System
  • Testing, installation and transition of new software solutions into the business such as Electronic Shelf Labelling
  • In depth analysis of system data to aid with resolution of support issues
  • Collaboration with our international office in Germany
  • Co-ordination of new software / hardware rollouts nationally
  • Actively involved in identification of time saving and cost-effective improvements on existing solutions and processes
  • Creation and maintenance of documentation
  • Occasional out-of-hours work is required (due to upgrades & system support)

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an application support role
  • Strong knowledge of SQL
  • Experience of the application change and release cycles
  • Knowledge of ITIL
  • Previous experience working on projects is highly beneficial
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python is beneficial
  • Problem solving mind set and being able to qualify, investigate and attempts to resolve issues
  • Experience with MS Office Application Suite
  • Previous experience in retail is highly beneficial
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
  • Strong communication skills and providing a great service
  • Keen interest and passion for automation topics (i.e. PowerShell) is highly interesting
  • Strong ownership of tasks with interest in continuously improving processes
  • The ability to multi-task and handle conflicting deadlines
  • German Language skills are beneficial, but not essential
