Position Title: Group Internal Auditor

Job Description:

As a member of the Internal Audit team you will be supporting or leading delivery of individual audits to quality and time in line with Audit Committee commitments, liaising with management to agree and follow-up on recommendations that arise from audit activity and providing regular and ad-hoc reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Your day-to-day task as an Internal Auditor will be in the execution of the risk-based Internal Audit plan, liaising with the Head of Integrated Assurance to deliver the plan to Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards as well as working collaboratively with the Internal Audit Manager to provide support throughout audits.
  • You will also be developing and documenting the understanding of major business processes, identifying key risks and key controls, following up on key actions agreed, monitoring, and reporting upon their completion and highlighting delays or concerns.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or has relevant business experience
  • Accountancy or audit qualification preferred
  • Experience of working within a large fast paced, diverse, matrixed environment
  • Experience of working with stakeholders
  • Good report writing skills
  • Good interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders
  • Commercially focussed
  • Be a team player and a self-starter who is flexible and willing to take on fresh challenges
  • Be a logical thinker with strong numeracy skills
  • Inquisitive, methodical, analytical and with a good eye for detail
  • Ability to solve challenging problems and provide solutions
