Position Title: Pediatric Audiologist

Job Description

We are seeking a Pediatric Audiologist to join our Bart’s Pediatric Audiology multi-disciplinary teams at Hackney and Tower Hamlets. The services are based at Hackney Ark & the Royal London Hospital. Predominantly a clinical role, this will keep you busy with a full range of pediatric assessment and (re) habilitation challenges, together with some delegated service development and/or management responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • You should be able to provide evidence working in a patient-centered way, and value supporting children and families through the wider patient journey. You will be confident working with children, both autonomously and as a flexible team-member
  • The post holder will be expected to work closely with the established advanced clinicians as well as the wider clinical/non-clinical team to support the development of the service.
  • The post-holder would also be part of the wider audiology team, a service of around 100 diverse staff (including screeners), within the forward-thinking Community Health Services, Barts Health NHS Trust.

Requirements:

  • The role demands at least 1 years’ experience of working in pediatric audiology (in behavioral testing) with training provided in electro-physiological assessment as well as (re) habilitation.
  • You must have either a minimum of a BSc in Audiology or a BTec in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement and BAAT Parts I & II (or equivalent).
  • You should be registered with RCCP, or be registered/close to registration as a clinical scientist with HCPC.
