Job Description:
Contra Costa County is recruiting to establish an eligible list for Building Plan Checker I.The Building Plan Checker I, under close supervision, is responsible for performing a variety of duties which include processing permit and plan check applications, updating and using the automated permit processing system to issue permits, and performing other related duties as required.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting customers at the front counter
- Answering questions on the permitting process
- Processing applications and plans for permits
- Reviewing permit applications for completeness of submittal
- Processing fee payments and creating receipts
- Scheduling inspections
