We are recruiting person and child centred Occupational Therapists to join us in one of our five OT teams. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing service, helping to develop a preventative and pro-active approach to disabled facilities, equipment and adaptations provision.

Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for responsible, caring people to join our fantastic team in Sheffield as a Residential Childcare practitioner either on a permanent basis or a bank pool basis.
  • You will support our children and young people in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and healthy and being a positive role model.

  • Our Residential Childcare Practitioners carry out an essential and varied role to provide individual, bespoke support required by the children and young people in our care.
  • You will take children to appointments and support them to undertake various outdoor activities, deliver personal care, undertake household tasks, and where appropriate administer medication.
  • You will need to be computer literate as you will have to complete reports on our Liquid Logic social care system.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a care setting would be advantageous but isn’t essential as full training will be given, and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important.

  • Already qualified to, or willing to work towards your Level 3 Diploma in Residential child care, you will be calm, engaging, resilient, able to work the required shifts, and be motivated to provide a safe, caring environment where every child can thrive.
