Job Description:

s a Supervisor you ensure optimal management of employees and processes within the regional hub of DHL Parcel in Hengelo. You directly manage 3 team leaders and indirectly about 60 warehouse employees per shift. You keep an overview of the entire process, but you also identify bottlenecks for further optimization. For example, you have weekly consultations with the MT of the terminal, of which you are part. You create support for your ideas and together with your colleague supervisors you set improvement objectives in a project-based manner. In addition, the role as Supervisor has various HR-related tasks. For example, you regularly have coaching and development conversations, but case management in the event of absenteeism is also part of your work.

Responsibilities:

• Support value contribution, benefit realization and efficiency from all procurement activities and ensuring fulfilment of joint goals with internal business partner by meeting their demands in terms of quality, price and service
• Build and maintain close relationship with key suppliers, internal business partners, stakeholders and key decision makers.
• Manage and report risks, optimize the resilience of services sourcing in line with business needs, strategy, industry best practices, regulatory framework and current legislation
• Execute research and partner with business colleagues to identify strategic sourcing opportunities as well as development and management of suppliers, get deep understanding of the regional business as well as market and trends of the specific categories
• Develop, implement and maintain Sourcing strategies for the Warehouse automation and equipment area considering the Innovation and Sustainability agenda of the group
• Lead and support local, regional as well as global initiatives and manage sourcing needs for global group wide initiatives with focus on Warehouse automation, robotics and equipment.
• Prepare and lead supplier negotiations and tenders and contract negotiation with local, regional and global suppliers

Requirements:

• Excellent communication in English both written and spoken required, other language skills preferred
• Proven experience in leading negotiations of mid/large volume, high impact and with different degrees of complexity
• 5+ years of relevant experience in technical equipment sourcing experiences, ideally with industrial automation sourcing experiences, preferable in sourcing for a cross-regional footprint
• Knowledge and proven experience of contract management, risk management, project management
• Experiences in working with virtual teams on international level
