Responsibilities:

  • Positioned within the Global Engineering Packaging Team, providing specialist Engineering Functional Support, leadership, and guidance to all packaging Operations across our Global Packaging Operations, our Brand Change Technical Centres, and our Procurement Functions.
  • The core purpose of this team is associated with ensuring our packaging asset base is aligned to business requirements and involves setting and maintaining technical standards for new equipment procurement, scoping and developing strategic projects, development and introduction of brand change and new product innovations and providing specialist support to our operations teams for performance improvement and issue resolution.
  • As part of the Engineering team the role will work alongside the operations, brand change and procurement teams to support the delivery of the overall business plans.
  • Working with other members of the Engineering capex teams, this role must ensure delivery of the overall business and strategic priorities.
  • The role will support the Manufacturing Excellence strategy through effective plant and equipment selection and project execution.
  • The role will be supporting packaging sites across Diageo globally, and this will require a degree of mobility.

Requirements:

  • You will have SME level experience in the packaging industry and considerable experience/professional development in areas such as project management.
  • This is a great role with someone who has high level skills in the preparation of project plans, collation, analysis and presentation of data with the experience in the use of business software for the preparation of written documentation such as Technical Standards and be proficient in the preparation of business presentations.
  • To be successful at this role, you will be a confident communicator and establish excellent relationships and be able to influence other key partners.
  • You will have strong health and safety experience. You will have a NEBOSH qualification or will be willing to work towards.
