Position Title: Packaging Designer

Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a versatile, enthusiastic and experienced Junior Product/Packaging Designer to join our studio at our Head Office in Liverpool. The Product/Packaging Designer is responsible for designing engaging packaging, working closely with Senior Designers and the Studio Design Manager on existing and new ideas and concepts.

Responsibilities:

  • Product product designs, packaging and prints as requested
  • Research, collate and identify key trends across all consumer demographics, for the purpose of crafting original design
  • Conduct store visits and produce UK competitive shop reports
  • Review pre-production submissions, referring to original comments made, ensuring all requested changes have been implemented and the finished quality of the product is of a high standard

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of the print process and its limitations
  • Have excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload to strict deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Be able to complete projects from initial concept through to finished product
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Enthusiastic and willing to develop design skills
  • Have an understanding of current and future retail trends and fashions, with the ability to create original designs based on the same
  • Minimum of 12 months’ design experience in a studio environment
    MAC literate
