Job Description:

The Group Technology Services teams are charged with ensuring a quality operational service across all the tools and systems, and with delivering ongoing improvements and upgrades in line with business priorities. Group Technology is central to our overall technology strategy and ensures we have the tools and tech to be Britain’s largest and most loved broadcaster.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving the teams’ technical roadmap, you will collaborate closely with our strategy leads to translate stories into code
  • Assist teams with the design of systems and pipelines to keep up with ITV’s large datasets
  • Take ownership from services to monitoring, maintenance and incident management
  • Support a strong engineering culture that provides technical innovation and professional development
  • Lead from the front – ensuring that your team follows our engineering best practices

Requirements:

  • To have a proven, comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of broadcast television principles, processes and formats, especially in the areas of file based media movement, connectivity, delivery and storage.
  • To possess a thorough and proven knowledge of base IT protocols, servers, PCs, Macs, networks, switches.
  • To have a proven and demonstrable ability to offer technical advice appropriate to the audience.
  • To have demonstrable experience of working within a customer focused environment.
  • To possess a proven ability to adapt to the needs of different clients.
  • To have a proven ability to work successfully both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • To have good interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to develop positive working relationships with both internal and external contacts at all levels.
  • To have a proven ability to prioritise, problem solve and multitask.
  • To have a proven knowledge, understanding and application of all relevant information security, guidelines, policies, practices and Codes of Practice.
  • To possess a thorough and proven knowledge of Google Docs and Microsoft Office.
