Position Title: Trading Group Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for a strong negotiator with a proven track record, who is tenacious and commercially hungry to spot opportunities, selling proactively and reactively at all times. Being agile to listen and adapt, tailoring your approach to supercharge growth is key, as well as having the ability to build strong relationships with customers and motivate and lead a team. You’re a brave, innovative and driven individual with creative ideas and you are looking for a company where those ideas can be given the appropriate platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the trading and commercial strategy that supercharges growth and achieves the purpose of this role
  • Work closely with Business Development teams across our 9 regional offices to enable this
  • Build strong relationships with advertisers and agencies
  • Work closely with the wider ITV Commercial trading team in London
  • Be responsible for devising and delivering innovative commercial initiatives
  • Support the Controller in creating a sales team who are both proactive and reactive in selling the power of ITV across all platforms and emerging opportunities with a focus on airtime and VOD
  • Speak the language of business and effectiveness as well as TV and media
  • Manage development of those in your team
  • Embody the culture and values of Business Development (Nations & Regions) as a senior member of the team

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated strong negotiator with proven track record
  • Comprehensive knowledge of TV at all levels incl trading, and of other media
  • Digital expert with a good knowledge of digital marketing channels and how to drive growth across all digital opportunities, especially VOD on ITV Hub
  • Experienced in working with agencies and direct clients and discussing marketing channels directly with them across departments
  • Experienced particularly in driving growth in VOD and data revenue streams – working alongside airtime and articulating its role vs other digital video opportunities
  • Experienced in creating and delivering innovative commercial products to drive growth and new investment
