Position Title: CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE I

Job Description:

Municipal Courts currently has part-time employment opportunities available for individuals who are self-motivated, customer service-oriented, pay attention to detail, and possess strong organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Collections of fines and fees, Posting of Cash and Surety Bonds that’s associated with all jail related matters.
  • Collection of fines, processing payments by cash, check, credit card and wire transfer.
  • Data entry of payment and fees in the Court’s case management system.
  • High level of direct contact with the general public, attorneys, court staff and law enforcement.
  • Dissemination of court information as required.
  • Data entry of court records and transactions.
  • Scanning of court documents into the Court’s case management system. Periodic rotation to alternate Court locations and/or sections.
  • Other administrative and customer service-related responsibilities as assigned.
  • Ability to travel to multiple locations throughout the city.
  • Must submit to annual background checks.

Requirements:

  • Basic Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. as might normally be acquired through attainment of a high school diploma or a GED.
  • Six (6) months of administrative or customer service related experience is required.
  • Associate’s degree may be substituted for up to two years of experience.
