Job Description:

The Vendor Manager will act as a subject matter expert and advocate for McDonald’s Global Technology and liaise with Global Strategic Sourcing, Legal and business stakeholders in representing McDonald’s objectives in any contract negotiations.

Responsibilities:

  • Senior level position responsible for overall success of outsourcing relationship(s) outside of the US
  • Supports the Global Technology & VMO portfolio management program of service provider(s)
  • Supports the Global CIO’s of IOM, IOM BU, and IDL segments by working closely with their respective strategy & alignment teams assisting them in support of markets including as a primary contact for any market escalations and communicating messages on behalf of the VMO
  • Takes the lead relationship role in interfacing with service provider(s) outside of the US
  • Accountable for the McDonald’s Global Technology (outsourcing) services portfolio, ensuring consistent disciplines are established to oversee all service providers (segmentation of vendors: Strategic, Major, Niche, Commodity)
  • Facilitates the engagement of key executives in the governance processes for Service Providers, including the facilitation of key decisions related to agreements
  • Executes on the VMO strategy on behalf of McDonald’s
  • Executes the Global Technology portfolio risk management program for Vendors to comply
  • Execute contractual changes with appropriate engagement from executive / key stakeholders
  • Execute changes and/or additions to contract documents (such as SOWs)
  • Leads the development of the portfolio scorecard / supplier view of performance (Executive, Functional, Operational reporting)
  • Manages critical disputes, involving appropriate executives and key stakeholders as appropriate
  • Proactively works with key functional stakeholders to support effective resolution of operational issues at the lowest level
  • Ensures McDonald’s is educated regarding contractual obligations and monitors compliance to the obligations under the outsourcing agreements
  • Manages the contract benchmarking and renewal process, with appropriate engagement from the stakeholders
  • Reviews and approves the service invoice formats
  • Validates invoices against contract cost and clauses to ascertain whether the set milestones have reached
  • Has responsibility for career-pathing, training and communication to the Governance team and other functional stakeholders
  • Oversee relevant Global Technology departmental budgets against SOW’s requested by project teams
  • Keep track and control of resources in Service Café, Beeline, Global Resource Manager, Building Access Security, Verifone HQ systems access
  • Alignment of processes with other Engagement Managers and Global Workforce Solutions
  • Control GBL use for access control of contractor resources
  • Oversee and direct relevant VMO projects e.g. PR7 ESU and Win10 license facilitation, McDonald’s Hackathon event, Capgemini software usage schedule, Capgemini software baselining, Restaurant Technology Hardware lifecycle management, Market hardware ordering, forecasting and risk mitigation
  • Support and facilitate Back-office as a service supplier management within McDonald’s system.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in IT related Supplier Management working with large scale suppliers & negotiating supplier / hardware contracts
  • Project management experience on large scale infrastructure / software roll outs
  • Good conceptual thinking with ability to communicate complex issues and information to all levels of the organization.
  • The ideal candidate has strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management
  • Creative thinker who thrives on negotiating, closing and maintaining partner agreements. Experience closing large contracts / deals
  • Experience with presenting to stakeholders and management
  • Experience in scoping, costing and budgeting for projects
  • Excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills; team-oriented, collaborative leadership skills and ability to lead colleagues informally
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Must be a team player and able to remain focused under pressure
  • Strong prioritization skills
  • Adaptable and flexible whilst working in a busy global virtual team
  • Willingness to travel
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience preferred – IT or related discipline.
