Position Title: Route Performance Analysis Manager

Job Description:

You will lead a team of analysts to provide the route with valuable analysis into train performance levels, reviewing key performance metrics to convert data insight into recommendations which support tactical and strategic opportunities to be delivered across multiple functions across the network.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and implement improved analysis of the long-term drivers of performance.
  • Provide analytical insight to support the development of the long-term plans for performance improvement related outputs, working in conjunction with the route and its internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting packs, dashboards and performance metrics that support key business decisions.
  • Lead, co-ordinate and deliver high quality and innovative performance analysis, reports and projects to support performance management within the route.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and quality of train performance related data outputs.
  • Manage the work allocation, outputs and development of performance analysts within the team.
  • Communicate analysis and insight via appropriate reports and forums, turning data into information to allow senior leaders to make informed decisions.

Requirements:

  • Experience of performance analysis at national and local levels.
  • Experienced user of databases and spreadsheet information systems, including Power BI.
  • Extensive experience in forecasting and performance planning principles and techniques.
  • Ability to analyse complex data and make tactical and strategic conclusions and recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Structured, methodical and analytical thinker with numerate and conceptual analysis capability.
  • Ability to work with and influence people at all levels.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team.
