Position Title: Field Interviewer – Greenwichc

Job Description:

This is a great opportunity to join our team as a Field Interviewer working for the Office for National Statistics. As a Field Interviewer carrying out official surveys you will be helping to inform Government about the state of the nation.

Your role will be a combination of field visits to addresses to encourage households to complete our surveys, carrying out surveys in their homes and completing phone interviews

Responsibilities: 

  • This role comes with flexible working hours that we hope will meet your needs as well as ours.
  • You will be employed on either a 1144 or 1560 hours annualised contract which is broadly equivalent to 22 or 30 hours work per week.

Reqirements:

  • We are looking for individuals who have a friendly, outgoing personality and the confidence to approach and converse with a wide selection of people either via phone or face to face.
  • You will need to have excellent communication skills to be the face of ONS and, where needed, to persuade any reluctant member of the public to take part in our surveys and to be interviewed.
  • You will also be responsible for planning, organizing and managing your own work loads, we will provide full training and support to help you with this.
