Job Description:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Platform Station Hosts (Train Dispatcher) at Banbury Station.

Responsibilities: 

  • Honest & trustworthy
  • Read all notices, instructions, and circulars and adhere to all instructions
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Change station posters as required and report to Retail Station Hosts gaps in leaflet rack content and replenish as advised
  • To take responsibility for the overall appearance and cleanliness of the station and ensure that it is maintained to the highest standard
  • Demonstrate good judgement in various areas of the role
  • Ensure the winter weather plan is carried out
  • Previous cash handling experience
  • Take responsibility for being the point of contact for issues relating to the car park in the absence of security attendant
  • Computer literate with necessary keyboard skills
  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy skills
  • To ensure that trains are dispatched in accordance with the rule boo
  • To attend staff briefings
  • Take responsibility for assistance of customers though ticket gates
  • To remain calm, confident and professional at all times even whilst under pressure
  • Take responsibility for local station announcements during times of disruption
  • Order station cleaning materials through the Customer Service Manager
  • Assist Retail Station Hosts with cash collection as requested
  • Deliver consistently high standards of proactive and reactive customer care around the station and remain highly visible at all times
