Job Description:

Under the general direction of the Principal Program Manager of the Institute for Business and Information Technology, and working collaboratively with the Faculty chair of the Accounting department (ACCT), the Program Manager works to support the program’s mission and goals, and to recruit and retain students into Accounting certificates, associate and applied baccalaureate programs. Often the first point of contact for students and community members, this position promotes excellence, facilitates student recruitment and success, and helps to maintain a cooperative and inclusive learning community. The position provides information about the program to prospective applicants, advises students, tracks program data and budget, and supports ACCT faculty and students to achieve success in an environment that values diversity and pluralism.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide prospective students with accurate information regarding Accounting program(s), admission process, prerequisites, financial aid and student services
  • Provide ongoing support and referrals for students by facilitating advising that includes education plans, student success and consistent progression toward their degree completion
  • Refer students to faculty and additional college services that best meets students’ needs
  • Distribute entry codes (when necessary)
  • Collaborate with Program Chair to develop annual and long-range marketing and recruitment plans for Accounting programs
  • Conduct information sessions and special events in conjunction with program chair; disseminate advising, marketing and recruitment materials and correspondence for Accounting program
  • Conduct outreach to the campus at large and to the general community.
  • Independently manage and maintain program social media platforms (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) according to college and division standards
  • Keep each program website updated with information about the program, admission process, prerequisite links and links to Bellevue College financial aid, student services and other use full information/tools for students
  • Collaborate with other campus departments to organize events and disseminate information about programs
  • Support the business pathway advisor in participation in campus outreach events

Requirements:

  • Work experience in higher education, preferably a community college setting
  • Knowledge of IBIT programs
  • Familiarity with CRM (Salesforce)
  • Experience with budgeting and finance
  • Experience with or ability to work with students to create an educational plan, maintain and update plans, and facilitate student success in the program
